William H. (Bill) Wangerin died November 13, 2019, at home in Summit, New Jersey, after a courageous battle against brain cancer. Bill served as Senior Executive Consultant for Renaissance Partners.
Born into a Wisconsin family of dairy farmers, Bill never forgot his roots. As a teenager, he taught himself the German language while accompanying his father on dairy equipment purchasing trips to Germany.
Bill earned an academic scholarship to Miami University (Ohio), from which he graduated magna cum laude. After strengthening the finances of his family business, Lov-It Creamery, he sold the business, permitting his parents to retire and his three siblings to be free of worry over business conditions.
Bill earned the M.B.A. degree at Harvard and rose up to run significant portfolios of companies for One Equity Partners, the private equity arm of JP Morgan Chase. Following his early retirement in 2014, he brought his superb mind, practical mien and wealth of experience to serve clients of Renaissance Partners.
His always met people where they lived and felt at ease. “No worries,” was a trademark Wangerinism. His smile, his gentle manner and his grace endure, even as we, and all who knew him, mourn his untimely passing.
