William H. Wangerin

William H. (Bill) Wangerin has 24 years of experience making successful investments and managing diversified industrial, agribusiness and service companies in the United States and abroad. He spent 14 years as an executive of JPMorgan Chase's $11 billion private equity arm. Among the transactions he sourced, structured and closed for JPMorgan, was U.S. energy infrastructure company Strike (August 2013). JPMorgan invested $141 million of equity in Strike as part of a $484 million overall investment. Strike provides engineering procurement and construction services to the oil and gas pipeline industry, as well as integrity testing services for pipeline operators.
In his career, Mr. Wangerin has evaluated over 1,900 investment opportunities in promising industries and regions. He has served as a director of six companies in which JPMorgan invested equity, including acting as a member of audit and compensation committees of those boards. During the 2008-10 recession, he initiated JPMorgan's plan to stabilize its portfolio of company investments and capitalize on illiquid opportunities.
Mr. Wangerin is a magna cum laude graduate of Miami University (Ohio) and earned his M.B.A. degree from Harvard Business School. He is a third generation Wisconsin butter and cheese maker and shareholder in the Green Bay Packers football franchise.
